Medical Plastics 2004 Seminar

The 2004 seminar on Medical Plastics: Materials, Applications and Processing for Medical Devices and Pharmaceuticals Industries was held at Ahmedabad Management Association, Ahmedabad, on January 24, 2004.

The programme centered on polymer materials, non-wovens, specialty plastics, evaluation methods and moulding practices for medical and pharmaceutical applications.

• Mr. Arvind S. Athalye covered non-woven fabric in medicare, hygiene and healthcare.
• Mr. Prabir Das of GE Plastics India discussed specialty plastics in healthcare applications.
• Dr. Prakash Trivedi of Gharda Chemicals presented recent developments in specialty plastics for medical applications.
• Sessions also covered preclinical evaluation, injection moulding for medical components and mould planning for medical parts.
