by PwC,” Medical technology (Medtech) companies are
accelerating their investments in emerging markets, and
India is a prime target because of its large population,
growing middle class, and improving healthcare
infrastructure.
With
annual growth exceeding 15%, India ranks in the top
three emerging nations for direct investment by large
multinational Medtech companies.
The
Indian Medical Device Industry needs to closely look at
strengthening the Ecosystem in order to develop presence
in the Global Market and create value added products
while keeping in mind affordability of our people.

The event was a grand success
with participation of more than 400 delegates at the peak
and more than 45 speakers from Medical Devices as well as
Medical Polymers Industry, Government, Research as well as
Academic Institutes. Along with representations from almost
all parts of the country, the speakers and delegates also
came from countries like US, Germany, Canada, China, etc. |

presentations during the two day national conference on
various critical issues and techno-commercial challenges
important for Indian Medical Devices and Plastics

event was a “Technology Display Show Exhibition 2013”
wherein around 35 Companies offering Polymers, Machineries,
Packaging Materials and many critical inputs required for
manufacturing Medical Devices and Plastics Disposables
Products were show cased. The “Technology Display Show
Exhibition” was also extremely well received with about 600
to 800 visitors during the two days.
